What the linter checks
Descriptions are checked for missing, blank, repeated-name, generic, and duplicated wording. Reachable input parameters are checked for missing explanations, including nested and enum-bearing properties. Similar tools are flagged through local lexical signals. These are quality suggestions, not MCP protocol rules.
Limits and privacy
A concise description can be useful; length alone does not prove a problem. The linter does not rewrite text with AI or predict which tool a model will choose. Tool definitions stay in browser memory and are not sent to a provider or server.
