About
SpecDebug helps developers debug the meaning of JSON Schema, AI tool definitions, MCP toolsets and OpenAPI response contracts.
Debug contracts, not syntax.
SpecDebug checks what data a contract allows, which tool wrapper a provider expects, and whether a changed response still fits a consumer.
Deterministic diagnostics
SpecDebug applies local parsers, schema validation and versioned rules to JSON Schema, individual AI tools, MCP collections and OpenAPI response contracts. Findings come from code and documented rules; no model generates a diagnosis. Uncertain comparisons stay uncertain.
Separate questions, clear results
Base schema validity, provider compatibility, protocol checks and documentation heuristics answer different questions. A valid schema does not guarantee a provider accepts it. Similar MCP descriptions do not prove a protocol violation. Static contract checks cannot establish how your running application behaves.
Local by design
Contracts remain in browser memory and clear on reload. Analysis runs in workers, with explicit limits and no accounts, history or live API connections. The Workbench helps choose an analysis; twelve focused pages expose the same underlying engines.
